Former Fenwick High School Basketball Star Mike Black Of The University At Albany Named Rookie Of The Week In The America East Conference Hoops Illinois February 9, 2010 Former Fenwick High School basketball star Mike Black of the University at Albany has been named Rookie of the Week in the America East Conference. Albany head coach Will Brown calls Black the best freshman in the America East Conference. Black averaged 14.5 points and 4 assists in two games against Binghampton and Boston University last week. Black competed on the travel team circuit with the Windy City Spartans heading into his senior year. Albany also features Jake Lindfors (Driscoll) and Derek Tartt (Fenwick).
